Let's invite students to a class in ChitterChatter. We're signed in as an instructor, with Intermediate Spanish open.
Select People. This is where you manage the roster for the current class section.
Click Add People. Keep Students selected; Instructors is for inviting a co-instructor.
For a short list, enter student email addresses. Use one address per line, or separate them with commas.
For a longer roster, use the CSV upload below. Your file needs an email column; first name and last name columns are optional.
We've selected our prepared roster. Check the number of students loaded and the file name before continuing. You can clear the file if you chose the wrong one.
When the addresses and roster look right, click Add People.
If this is your first student addition, you may see Activate Free Access. Read the access window shown here, then select Confirm and Add Students when you're ready.
The students now appear in People. A Pending badge means the invitation is still waiting to be accepted.
If someone needs another invitation, open the three-dot menu on their row. Resend invitation is available here.
Your students have been added, and their invitations are ready. They can follow the email invitation to finish joining your class.
