Reuse and Share Activities
Get more use from a speaking activity you've already built. Learn how to assign it to another section, make an independent copy, and share a finished version with other educators.
The video loads from YouTube only when you press play. YouTube (Google) then receives information such as your IP address and browser under Google’s privacy policy. Captions are included in the video. Use the player settings to adjust playback speed, or the CC button for YouTube’s additional captions. If two sets appear, turn CC off. Watch on YouTube if the embedded player is unavailable.

Let's reuse an activity, make an independent version, and share a finished activity with other educators.
In Activities, open the activity's actions and choose Manage assignments. This template is already assigned to section zero zero one.
To reuse the same activity, choose another section. We'll add section zero zero two.
Set the schedule and assignment type for that section. Here, we'll open it right away with no due date and use Completion only.
Assign it to the selected section, then check that both sections appear under Currently assigned. Select Done.
For a different version of the lesson, open the activity's actions and choose Duplicate. The copy starts as an unassigned draft.
Open the copy and give it a clear title. We'll call ours Café Conversation, Week Three. You can now change its content independently.
Save the adapted activity, then return to Activities.
To share a finished activity, open its actions and choose Share to Library.
Choose the audience: Educator Library for instructors, or Community Library for all users. Check the attribution details before sharing.
We'll share the original template to the Educator Library. Click Share to Library. A snapshot is shared, so later edits won't change copies other people make.
You can reuse one activity across sections, duplicate it for a separate lesson, and share a finished version for others to discover.
